Zuhra Ashurova was born in 1961 in the Qibray district of the Tashkent region. She has been working at the National Theatre since 1983. In 2000, she was awarded the title “Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” and in 2016 she received the title “People’s Artist of Uzbekistan.”
Zuhra Ashurova has performed complex roles of various characters in about 100 theatrical productions.
Zuhra Ashurova has acted in many famous films and TV series:
• “Shaytanat” — a classic Uzbek series;
• “Trials of Love” (parts 1–2);
• “Children of the Sky” (parts 1–3);
• “Love Me”;
• “Journalist”.
She often portrays:
• motherly characters;
• kind yet strong female roles;
• dramatic heroines very convincingly.
Zuhra Ashurova is an experienced and strong actress who has her own place in Uzbek art. Through the roles she has created, she has won the hearts of audiences and continues to be active in her творчество.
