Singer Sanjar Xoliqov appeared as a guest on the YouTube program "Ikkalamiz," where he spoke in detail about his personal life and the reasons behind the hiatus in his creative career. During the interview, the artist discussed how he met his spouse, Asila Abdullayeva, their family's rare blood type, and his entrepreneurial activities in the textile industry.

According to her, they met through social media.
— Previously, there was the Snapchat application on phones. One day, while checking who had viewed my videos on that app, Sanjar Xoliqov's name appeared among them. I wondered, "Who is this?" because there were no videos posted on his profile. Later, I found out more through my friends. However, I saw him up close for the first time at my sister's "Qiz bazmi" ceremony. Since my uncles liked his work, they had invited him to perform at the event at our home. I was 17 years old at the time.
Sanjar Xoliqov:
— I knew my wife's uncles and even their ancestors beforehand. For example, her uncle Mahmud owns one of the famous restaurants in Tashkent. I saw Asila for the first time while performing at her sister's bridal shower. As I was walking through the courtyard toward the stage, it felt as if a light was shining on Asila, just like in the movies. At that moment, seeing her, my heart skipped a beat.
Actually, before that, I had accidentally seen her photos on Snapchat, took screenshots, and started looking for her. After meeting her in person, I also found her Instagram page. It turned out there was an upcoming concert by Yorqinxoʻja Umarov. Knowing through social media that Asila would also attend this concert, I went there as well. I told her, "Maybe we will run into each other." On the day of the concert, she sat in the back row, and I sat in the front row. I kept looking back frequently during the event. Two years after that concert by Yorqinxoʻja, we got married. The delay in between was caused by the unexpected quarantine period.
"I didn't go on dates"
— Until I met my wife, I didn't go on dates at all. Even when my parents started talking about visiting a girl's house for matchmaking, I wouldn't agree. Because at that time I was young, my business was doing well, and I had a car and money. I thought, "Girls might be deceived by these things during a date." It wasn't difficult for me to win their attention with just a few words. But I refrained from meeting girls, thinking, "What if they don't like me as a person later, and problems arise?"
"Both of us have the same rare blood type"
— Asila's blood type is first negative. Usually, if the man's Rh factor is positive and the woman's is negative, it is considered unfavorable. In such situations, having children can become difficult. My wife's mother was always worried about this. Furthermore, this blood type is considered very rare. I, on the other hand, believed myself to be second group positive.
One day we went for blood tests. After the results came out, the doctor called us and informed me that I was also first negative. He said that in his 30 years of practice, it was the first time he had encountered a couple where both sides were "minus one." That is, my blood and my wife's blood are only compatible with each other. Now, both of our sons have the first negative blood type.
"I temporarily stepped away from art to provide for my family"
— During the quarantine when everyone stayed home, my father and I spent a year analyzing how many songs we had released, which works became popular, and our creative activity in general. We realized that many aspects now depend on DJs. Because weddings decreased, and people shifted to listening to music via phones. A major part of an artist's income comes from weddings, although concerts have also gained importance recently.
However, it is necessary to provide for the family and earn an income. Therefore, I decided to take a short break from my creative work and move into entrepreneurship. I became an apprentice to my father's businessman friend and learned the secrets of business. I started my activities in the textile sector. Many people understand textiles only as sewing clothes. In reality, accounting, finance, and legal aspects also play an important role in this field. We tried to learn these directions from the ground up and apply them in practice.
