Will Uzbekistan produce a drug against hepatitis C?

The issue of domestic production of a drug against the hepatitis "C" virus in Uzbekistan has been put on the agenda. It was reported that this initiative was put forward by one of Egypt's largest companies. Responsible persons were given instructions to start the project.
Cooperation in this area is not limited to pharmaceuticals. This year, based on the Egyptian experience, "super-super-elite" potato seeds were grown on 5 hectares in the Kitab district, yielding 100 tons. As a result of the negotiations, it was noted that Egyptian investors are ready to expand this work to 1,000 hectares.
Another proposal relates to Tuproqqal'a: one of the Egyptian companies proposed to commission 2,000 hectares of desert land and launch the production of pivot irrigation equipment. This can stimulate not only productivity, but also industry through the production of machinery.
In general, the meeting emphasized the need to more actively open the African continent as a new export destination. Africa encompasses more than 50 countries, and its economy is estimated at $3 trillion. The Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Investments, Industry, and Trade, as well as the ambassadors to Egypt and Qatar, were instructed to prepare and approve a corresponding "roadmap."
