Scientists have found a way to lower blood pressure without medication

According to research conducted by Surrey University scientists, regular consumption of products such as tea, dark chocolate, apples, and grapes can help lower blood pressure.

Experts emphasize that this effect is related to the natural substances called flavan-3-ols present in these products. These compounds found in cocoa, tea, various fruits and berries have positive effects on the cardiovascular system.

Analyzing the results of 145 randomized studies, the scientists found that flavan-3-olers play an important role in reducing blood pressure, especially in people with high blood pressure. In some cases, its effect was even close to that of medications.

In the course of the study, it was also found that these substances improve the activity of the inner layer of blood vessels - the endothelium. This indicates that flavan-3-ol is beneficial for overall health regardless of blood pressure.

Scientists note that flavan-3-ol does not replace drugs. However, their moderate consumption as part of a balanced diet can be an additional beneficial factor in maintaining heart health.
