
The Muslim Board of Uzbekistan has announced the start times of Tarawih prayers in the regions from February 28.
The start times of Tarawih prayers in mosques in 14 regions of the country are:
Fergana – 20:20;
Namangan – 20:20;
Andijan – 20:20;
Tashkent region – 20:30;
Tashkent city – 20:30;
Syrdarya – 20:30;
Jizzakh – 20:30;
Samarkand – 20:30;
Kashkadarya – 20:40;
Surkhandarya – 20:40;
Navoi – 20:40;
Bukhara – 20:40;
Khorezm – 21:00;
Republic of Karakalpakstan – 21:10.
Tarawih prayer begins after the evening prayer. Tashkent city police department has announced a list of streets in the capital that will be temporarily closed in connection with this prayer.
The month of Ramadan in Uzbekistan begins on Saturday, March 1. According to the presidential decree, during this month, special attention will be paid to supporting initiatives to help those in need and young people seeking knowledge and enlightenment, preserving the environment, beautifying holy places, pilgrimage sites and cemeteries, planting trees, and observing moderation and avoiding waste in events related to the month of Ramadan.
