Man with fake gun tries to rob bank in Tashkent

An unknown masked man attempted to rob a bank service center in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent, reported kun.uz.

The incident occurred between 16:30 and 17:00 on April 18 at “Turkiston” branch of Trustbank. The suspect used a fake gun wrapped in black tape and stormed into the building.

Following an emergency alert by bank staff, Interior Ministry’s security services arrived quickly and apprehended the suspect.

Only the bank’s entrance door was damaged. No injuries were reported and no money was stolen. Authorities are now conducting a preliminary investigation. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
