UzAuto Motors denies reports about Malibu-2 cars

UzAuto Motors has officially denied reports circulating on social networks that a batch of Malibu-2 cars has been returned from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan.

Earlier, a video appeared on social networks showing new Malibu-2 cars being loaded onto trucks. The author of the video claimed that these cars were allegedly being returned from Kazakhstan and brought to Uzbekistan.

According to the company's press service, the Malibu-2 cars seen in the video are indeed new, but they are being brought to Uzbekistan from China in transit through the territory of Kazakhstan. The company stressed that this process is carried out in strict compliance with all procedures and rules established by international and national legislation.

UzAuto Motors also asked social network users not to spread unfounded news and not to believe unconfirmed information.

For information, Chevrolet Equinox, Malibu, Traverse and Tahoe are not manufactured in Uzbekistan and are imported from abroad by UzAuto Motors.

It should be recalled that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at a selector meeting held on March 5, stressed the need to sharply reduce the use of official cars in state organizations and switch to national cars. Following the President's instructions, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov changed his official car from Mercedes-Benz to Chevrolet Malibu, and regional governors were reported to be switching to locally produced UzAuto Motors cars.
