Previously, a minor driver in Kokand hit 3 young girls, resulting in the death of one of them. The Ministry of Internal Affairs provided additional information regarding this traffic accident.
It is reported that on May 20, a school student driving a Malibu-2 hit 3 10-year-old girls crossing a pedestrian walkway. It was determined that one of the girls died in the hospital, and two others are in critical condition. The Ministry of Internal Affairs released video footage of the incident and clips showing the teenager behind the wheel and his grandfather apologizing and expressing regret.
The video shows the Malibu approaching at high speed and hitting the children. The teenager stated that he took the car without permission and went out just to drive around with his friends. It turned out that his grandfather had given him the keys to wash the car at home, but he drove it into the city.
The minor stated that he did not have a driver's license.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. The minor driver has been detained, and the investigation is ongoing.
