An excavator ran over a woman crossing the road in Bukhara

A video has been circulating on social media showing an excavator running over a woman crossing the road in Bukhara. The press service of the Bukhara Regional Department of Internal Affairs provided official information on the incident.

It is reported that the accident occurred on May 15 on the road in front of the central market of Bukhara. Citizen H.I. was driving an excavator along Ibn Sino Street when he left the market and did not see a woman crossing the road, which caused her death. As a result, the woman, born in 1961, died at the scene.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code (violation of the rules for the movement or use of vehicles that resulted in the death of a person) and preliminary investigations are underway. It was announced that the investigation will provide a legal assessment of the situation and ensure the certainty of liability.
