In recent days, the escalation and armed clashes in the Middle East are causing serious concern in the entire world community. In particular, the confrontation between Israel and Iran poses a serious threat not only to regional but also to international stability. In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has issued a special appeal to the citizens of our country.
The statement of the ministry emphasizes that the escalation of the conflict creates a great threat to the overall peace and sustainable development of the region. First of all, this leads to severe consequences for ordinary citizens — children, women, and civilians. “There are no winners in war; the greatest losses are always suffered by ordinary people, and today is no different,” the official appeal says.
The Republic of Uzbekistan has always pursued a policy of peace and chosen the path of mutual respect, friendly relations, and mutually beneficial cooperation in the international community. One of the priority directions of our country's foreign policy is the peaceful resolution of all conflicts through diplomatic dialogue and on the basis of international law.
In these circumstances, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on our citizens to demonstrate tolerance and a responsible civic position in all situations, to refrain from expressing conflicting attitudes based on religious, racial, or other personal affiliations, and to stand against the promotion of hatred and discord. This is a common duty, and maintaining national and religious harmony in society is an important guarantee of stability and security.
The appeal also emphasized that people should not fall for various provocations and offensive calls, and should maintain composure and a stable attitude towards events, not acting based on emotions. If necessary, it is advised to move to safe places, not to approach military or other state facilities, not to photograph or film them, and to stay away from crowded places.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan once again calls on all citizens to peace, mutual respect, and tolerance.
