The tragic incident that occurred at the beach located in the "Yangi Uzbekistan" park in the city of Tashkent shocked many. This recreational spot, which is visited by thousands of citizens every year, this time made the news for a sorrowful reason. On July 31, one of the young men swimming there drowned and passed away.
This tragedy happened in front of many people. Several tried to rescue him, but unfortunately, it was unsuccessful. This situation raises many questions: why was the beach administration not adequately prepared? Why didn’t the ambulance arrive immediately?
According to one of the eyewitnesses who spoke to a Kun.uz reporter, it was not the beach staff but one of the vacationers who pulled the drowning man out of the water. He swam to the young man and began cardiopulmonary resuscitation. A medical worker arrived a few minutes later, but by then, the situation had become very serious.
At the time of the tragedy, it is unclear where the lifeguards were. This shows a serious lack of responsibility. In places where many people gather, such emergencies must be anticipated and proper preparation ensured.
According to reports, the ambulance also arrived late. Before medical staff could respond, it was a vacationer who performed resuscitation. We all know that in such cases, every minute is crucial. But the emergency services lost precious time.
In a response given to the Kun.uz reporter by the Tashkent City Prosecutor's Office, it was confirmed that the incident did indeed take place and that the young man had died. An investigative team arrived at the scene, and an official inquiry is currently underway.
At the moment, the public is reflecting on how safety is ensured at such recreational areas. After all, every citizen wants to feel safe when visiting a leisure spot. But this tragedy revealed what consequences can arise from the lack of timely measures.
Among the public, questions are spreading: “What responsibility will the beach administration take?”, “Why didn’t the lifeguards perform their duties?”. The case remains open for now, but such events must serve as an example and a lesson for others.
To prevent such tragedies in the future, all recreational areas must thoroughly reassess their safety standards, and service staff must regularly undergo training courses. This is a matter of great importance for human life.
Moreover, qualified doctors capable of providing first aid must always be on duty at public recreational sites. If such a doctor had been present on time at this beach, perhaps the young man’s life could have been saved.
