The Tashkent city administration discussed an important issue for the city — ensuring effective control over the collection and removal of household waste using modern technologies. It was announced at the meeting that a new innovative program — “Clean Capital” — will be introduced in this field.
Capabilities and goals of the new program
Under the project, waste collection vehicles will be deployed by mahalla districts and on a clearly defined schedule. The process will involve the Committee on Ecology, the Committee on Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-being and Public Health, the National Guard, and the “mahalla seven” group, each responsible for their respective territories.
The main goal of the program is to provide full monitoring of waste collection and removal, track vehicle movements, and improve service quality to ensure city cleanliness.
Pilot and phased implementation
According to the information, starting from August 13, the system will be launched in a pilot mode in the Almazar district. By September 1, it is planned to be gradually implemented in other districts of the capital.
Additional functions and automatic control
Through the new platform it will be possible to:
-
track the movement of waste collection trucks on internal mahalla streets online;
-
accurately calculate the volume of waste;
-
evaluate the quality of services provided to legal entities;
-
continuously monitor the sanitary condition of central and internal streets.
All data will be collected automatically, eliminating the need for human intervention. Uncompleted work and addresses where waste has not been collected will also be automatically recorded.
A new stage for city cleanliness
Experts believe that the “Clean Capital” system will raise not only technical processes but also the culture of service provision to a new level. Residents and citizens are eagerly awaiting the results of the project.
