In the Surkhandarya region, a Labo car carrying women returning from the cotton harvest was involved in a traffic accident. This was officially announced by the regional Road Safety Department.
According to reports circulating on social networks, the incident occurred on October 3 at 19:00 in the Gulbog neighborhood of Bandikhan district. According to reports, the driver of the Labo lost control while driving and collided with a Cobalt car coming from the opposite direction.
As a result of the collision, the Labo driver and five women on board sustained injuries of varying degrees. They were quickly transported to the district hospital with the help of doctors.
Officials denied the information circulating on some social networks that "16 women were in the car, and all of them were injured." According to the Road Safety Department, five female pickers were in the Labo car at the time of the incident, and their condition is assessed as good.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated by the investigative group of the Internal Affairs Department of the Bandikhan district. Investigators are conducting an investigation to determine the causes and circumstances of the incident.
It should be recalled that earlier it was reported that a major road accident involving several vehicles occurred on the A-373 "Tashkent-Osh" international highway passing through the city of Angren, Tashkent region, resulting in the death of seven people.
The incident in Bandikhan once again reminds us of the need to strictly observe traffic safety rules.
