Another road traffic accident occurred in the city of Margilan, Fergana region, which drew public attention. According to reports, the driver of a Nexia-1 car hit three schoolchildren who were crossing the sidewalk, the press service of the regional traffic police reported.
The incident occurred yesterday, October 16, at approximately 12:30 p.m. The driver, born in 1998, was driving on B. Margiloniy Street in Margilan when he approached the pedestrian crossing located in front of Secondary School No. 33. He immediately hit three children crossing the road, not noticing them.
According to preliminary information, as a result of the incident, one student was seriously injured and immediately taken to the hospital. The remaining two received first aid on the spot.
Currently, the Margilan City Department of Internal Affairs has launched a pre-trial investigation into the incident. The causes of the accident, the degree of the driver's guilt, and cases of non-compliance with traffic safety rules are being investigated.
