Prison staff were held accountable for the pedophile's escape

A criminal case has been opened against prison staff in the Akhangaran district of the Tashkent region regarding a conflict involving a prisoner who escaped from a penitentiary institution and sexually assaulted a 3rd-grade student.

The inspector of the Central Pre-Trial Detention Center of the Department for the Execution of Punishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other officials are accused of committing illegal actions in exchange for material gain by prior conspiracy (paragraph "b" of part 3 of Article 214 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the National Agency of Social Protection.

According to reports, the 31-year-old prisoner had previously been convicted several times - including cases of sexual violence against children. However, the circumstances under which he escaped from the controlled facility have not yet been disclosed.

Currently, the injured girl is under the supervision of psychologists from the "Inson" social services center, and she is receiving the necessary medical and psychological assistance.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 119, Part 4 ("Forced unnatural sexual intercourse") of the Criminal Code. The suspect was detained and placed in custody.
