According to the press service of the State Security Service, an employee of the "Hududgaz Jizzax" company was detained while receiving 6,000 US dollars. This special operation was carried out jointly by the State Security Service and the city department of the General Prosecutor’s Office in Jizzakh.
It was established that in exchange for this money, the employee promised a representative of a private company to ensure exemption from punishment and prevent a criminal case based on the report drawn up for illegal use of natural gas. According to expert conclusions, external interference had been carried out on the company’s gas consumption metering device, which led to incorrect readings and illegal use of natural gas.
It was reported that the suspect was detained in front of the "Hududgaz Jizzax" building. It was determined that he intended to resolve the criminal case through his acquaintances at the Jizzakh city department of internal affairs.
Regarding the situation, a criminal case was initiated under part 3 of the article "Fraud" and part 1 of the article "Assistance in giving a bribe" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
