It has been reported how many citizens in Uzbekistan were disconnected from water due to debt. According to the official report of "Uzsuvtaminot," in January-October of this year, 4,351 cases of illegal connection to drinking and sewerage networks were identified. These indicators show that the scale of illegal use of water resources throughout the country is still a serious problem.
The highest number of violations was recorded in Tashkent - 488 cases. The following places are occupied by Syrdarya region (433), the Republic of Karakalpakstan (425) and Khorezm region (419). It was calculated that due to these circumstances, economic damage to the interests of society amounted to more than 82 billion soums. Of these, 33.6 billion soums were reimbursed.
In order to reduce debt and strengthen payment discipline, during the year, claims amounting to 358.4 billion soums were filed with civil and economic courts against 123.4 thousand consumers. During the reporting period, very serious figures were revealed: 62.4 thousand individuals and legal entities across the republic were disconnected from the water supply network due to debt.
The highest indicator again fell on the capital's share - 46 thousand consumers were disconnected from water in Tashkent. This not only affects household amenities but also creates additional problems for the population and entrepreneurs.
At the same time, a decrease in accounts receivable was noted as a positive result. Compared to the beginning of this year, debt decreased by 203 billion soums (22%) and amounted to 705.5 billion soums. Compared to the same period last year, debt decreased by 364 billion soums (34%).
