Three individuals, who were on international wanted lists via Interpol channels, were successfully delivered from the territory of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the Republic of Uzbekistan. This operation was carried out as a result of the close cooperation and coordinated actions of the staff of the Interpol National Central Bureaus (NCBs) in Tashkent and Abu Dhabi.
Responsibility for Economic Crimes
The individuals brought back were wanted by the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan on charges of committing economic and property illegal actions within the country.
The extradition of criminals was carried out based on current international agreements, which indicates the strengthening of bilateral ties in the fight against transnational crime.
No Chance for Fugitives
As a result, citizens on the international wanted list will now be held accountable before the court to be held legally accountable for their crimes.
The Interpol National Central Bureau in Uzbekistan announced that the work to combat transnational crime, identify fugitives, and return them to jurisdiction within the framework of international cooperation is consistently continuing. An increase in the handover rates of criminals is observed as a result of bilateral contacts.
