Successful operations against the illegal circulation of narcotics were conducted by the State Security Service in Tashkent and Surkhandarya region.
According to reports, during an operation carried out by the State Security Service (SSS) and the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) in Surkhandarya region, a 40-year-old man born in Termez was apprehended while transporting 50 kg 978 grams of hashish in his Cobalt vehicle. Additionally, 186 grams of hashish were also discovered at his residence.
Alongside this individual, a 39-year-old accomplice was also detained. It was discovered that they had smuggled the narcotics into Uzbekistan through Afghan drug couriers with the intention of selling them. One of the suspects had a prior conviction for similar crimes, while the other had previously been convicted of fraud.
A similar incident was reported in Tashkent city. A 25-year-old individual from Uchtepa district was found to have been distributing synthetic narcotics via Telegram. He was detained during an operation conducted by the SSS Tashkent City Directorate and the City Department of Internal Affairs with 225 grams of "Alpha PVP" synthetic narcotics in his possession.
Furthermore, his 20-year-old associate was arrested with two tablets of “Regapen.” It was revealed that these drugs were purchased from a pharmacy in Mirzo Ulugbek district. During the operation, the unregistered vendor of the pharmacy was detained while selling 14 "Regapen" tablets to a customer for 1,200,000 soums. In addition, a search of the pharmacy’s auxiliary storage uncovered 20,200 “Gabaten” tablets, 823 “Regapen” tablets, 100 “Galara” tablets, and 4 “Torgabalin” tablets, all of which contain potent substances and lacked proper documentation. These were seized as evidence.
Criminal cases have been initiated against all suspects under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and pre-trial detention measures have been applied. The investigation is currently ongoing.
These operations represent an important step in combating the spread of narcotic substances and play a crucial role in ensuring security and order in our country as part of a series of comprehensive measures.
