Workshop in Samarkand found illegally connected to the power grid

According to the press service of Uzenergoinspeksiya, a case of illegal use of electricity was detected in Samarkand. This was reported by upl.uzreports.

Employees of the Samarkand regional department of Uzenergoinspeksiya carried out inspection measures and reviewed the operations of a compound feed production workshop located in Samarkand district. The inspection revealed that the workshop owner had unauthorizedly connected the equipment needed for production to the power grid.

According to preliminary estimates by specialists, the damage caused to the power supply company amounted to 993 million soums.

Documents collected on the case were sent to law enforcement agencies. Following the preliminary inquiry, the workshop owner faces up to 15 years in prison under Part 4 of the “Theft” article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
