Dedicated lane in Namangan is sparking conflict

The press service of the Namangan Region Department of Internal Affairs Traffic Safety Directorate provided official information on special lanes allocated for public transport on the city streets. This was reported by upl.uzreports.
It is noted that despite the marked lanes designated to ensure buses can move freely, some passenger-car drivers are ignoring road signs and current rules. As a result, they block traffic in the dedicated lane, obstruct entry and exit at bus stops, and disrupt public transport operations.
Most concerning is that dissatisfied car drivers are getting into arguments with bus drivers, and in some cases these incidents escalate into mass fights, the statement said.
The Traffic Safety Directorate said such situations will be stopped firmly, violators will be identified and punished in accordance with established procedures. Offenders may be fined under the Administrative Liability Code articles “Violation of stopping or parking rules” and “Driving in a lane specifically allocated for route transport.”
