In the Navoi region, a road traffic accident claimed human lives. In the Tomdi district, a bus carrying 47 passengers overturned while in motion. As a result, two citizens died at the scene, and several others were injured.
It is reported that the accident occurred on January 5. A ZHONG TONG BUS was traveling along the Zarafshan–Navoi route when the driver, born in 1986, lost control of the vehicle. The bus, driven by a driver with 17 years of experience, veered to the right side of the road in the direction of travel and overturned.
According to the information service of the Navoi Regional Department of Internal Affairs, the bus was technically sound. Nevertheless, the incident resulted in severe consequences. Two passengers died at the scene due to injuries sustained.
In addition, nine individuals with various degrees of injuries were hospitalized. They are receiving the necessary medical care.
At present, investigative procedures are being carried out by the relevant authorities regarding this traffic accident. The causes of the incident and all circumstances are being examined within the framework of the law.
