Shavkat Mirziyoyev holds talks with a number of leaders in Davos

As part of international events in Davos, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held meetings and talks with representatives of a number of countries. As reported, on January 21 the head of state paid a working visit to Switzerland at the invitation of U.S. President Donald Trump to attend the ceremony of signing the charter of the “Peace Council” in Davos.
The geography of meetings at the Davos venue has expanded
According to available information, the Davos meetings also included talks with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić. Conversations were also noted with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and former UK Prime Minister, Chair of the Institute for Global Change Tony Blair.
Meetings in this format usually work in two directions: on the one hand, “accelerating” ongoing cooperation projects; on the other, laying the groundwork for new agreements for the coming months and years. Davos is convenient precisely for this: multilateral negotiations in one place and several “roadmaps” at the same time.
Why does this matter, and what could come next?
Such political and economic dialogue typically leads to the following expected outcomes: boosting investment and trade ties, attracting new partners to infrastructure and industrial projects, and strengthening coordination within regional organizations.
In short, Davos talks are not a “one-day protocol” — in many cases they are the start button for subsequent decisions. Most importantly, if practical steps accelerate after these contacts, ordinary people will feel the impact too: new projects, new opportunities, new markets.
