A young man who asked where weapons are sold in Tashkent was placed in a psychiatric hospital

In Tashkent, after a video that quickly spread on social networks, another sharp incident came to the center of discussion. In the footage, an unknown young man shows citizens an image of a weapon via his phone and asks, “where can this be bought?”.

According to the official information of the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs, the incident happened on February 14 on Taras Shevchenko Street in the Mirobod district. S.M., born in 2006 and assessed as being in a serious mental condition, asked people around where it is possible to buy a weapon and then left the scene.

After that, a pre-investigation check was carried out by the Mirobod district IIO FMB, and the identity of the young man was established. According to officials, he was placed in a hospital for neuropsychiatric diseases. It was reported that the final decision will be made on the basis of legislation.

At the same time, it was also written on social networks that he threatened to organize a shooting at a school and “kill 100 people.” It was noted that some witnesses reported that he was heading toward School No. 60.

This incident reminds of another truth: even a phrase that seems like “just a question,” if it relates to public safety, will definitely be checked — and there is no place for jokes here.
