In the village of Kok-Bel in the Nookat district of Kyrgyzstan, the body of a 20-year-old woman was found hanging in a livestock shed.
According to reports, information about the incident was received by the Nookat district department of internal affairs on February 20, 2026 through the 112 emergency service. After that, an investigation was launched and a forensic medical examination was appointed.
The relatives of the deceased say they do not believe the officially suggested version of suicide. According to them, the girl got married a year ago and had repeatedly complained that her husband regularly beat her. Her relatives claim that there were hematomas on her body, particularly on her back and in the kidney area.
In addition, according to her relatives, shortly before the tragedy the girl said that she was pregnant. Messages circulating on social networks claim that before her death she wrote to her mother that her husband constantly beat her and asked her to take her away. About three hours after receiving the message, the mother went to her daughter’s house, where she saw many people gathered and then heard about her daughter’s death.
At present, investigative actions regarding the incident are ongoing.
