In Tashkent, the chief specialist of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services was caught taking a bribe. He was apprehended during a rapid operation conducted jointly by the Tashkent city DSS and the Main Department of Internal Affairs.
The official was caught when he received 1500 USD after gaining the trust of the head of an LLC servicing multi-storey buildings in Yunusobod. During the arrest, he tried to escape but was detained by the operatives.
Investigations revealed that the chief specialist demanded 2200 USD to register powers of attorney signed by homeowners on the "My Home" platform for transferring the servicing rights of six buildings from one LLC to another, planning to resolve these matters through his official acquaintances.
A criminal case has now been opened, and investigative actions are ongoing. This incident clearly demonstrates both the officials' attempts at bribery and the operatives' effective response.
