Attraction collapses in Andijan, safety issue back on the agenda

A serious accident occurred at the “Bogʻishamol” amusement park named after Z.M.Bobur in Andijan region. It was reported that one of the attractions collapsed together with the people inside it after a chain broke.
Videos circulated on social media after the incident showed broken parts of the attraction scattered on the ground. According to witnesses, at least 7 citizens sustained injuries of varying severity as a result of the incident.
At the same time, official sources are citing somewhat different figures. The Andijan region Department of Emergency Situations said that on April 26, the iron structure of an attraction was damaged in the park area, and as a result, 2 citizens sustained minor injuries. They were given immediate medical assistance.
This incident has once again brought another important issue — the safety of amusement rides — onto the agenda. Some social media users are voicing concerns that many of the play equipment had not fully undergone technical inspection.
In short, places of rest should bring people joy, not danger. And now the most important question is: what conclusion will the responsible officials draw from this situation?
