Employment process in Uzbekistan is being further simplified

A new draft law aimed at facilitating the employment process and reducing excessive bureaucratic barriers in Uzbekistan has passed an important milestone. The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis approved this document, which focuses on the digitalization of labor relations, in the first reading.
The new reforms mainly aim to reduce paperwork in the hiring process and simplify all procedures through an electronic system.
According to the draft law, the PINFL will now serve as the primary identifier when officially hiring an employee. This will serve to reduce instances of repeatedly requesting various additional information and documents from citizens.
It is also planned to abolish the practice of providing an extract from the electronic employment record book. Through this, job seekers will be freed from time-consuming processes such as collecting and verifying excessive documents.
Another important innovation is granting official status to digital verification tools. In accordance with the draft law, documents verified via Face ID or an electronic digital signature will have the same legal force as officially signed paper documents.
Experts believe that these changes will serve to further modernize public services and labor relations. In particular, online hiring processes are expected to accelerate.
At the same time, certain requirements will be maintained. In particular, the requirement for citizens of the relevant category to provide a military ID or a certificate of military registration will remain in effect.
Deputies emphasized that these reforms are aimed at creating convenience for citizens, reducing excessive hassle in the hiring process, and increasing the transparency of labor contract formalization.
Experts note that digitalization can reduce the human factor and prevent corruption. Therefore, the new order is expected to make labor market relations more open and efficient.
