A serious crime committed in the city of Kokand, Fergana Region, has concluded with a court verdict. It is reported that a 19-year-old girl got into a conflict with her sister-in-law due to long-standing family disputes.
The incident occurred on December 3, 2025. It is stated that the girl, seeking revenge, used a kitchen knife to inflict multiple wounds on her sister-in-law. As a result of the severe injuries sustained, the victim died at the scene.
Following the incident, law enforcement agencies conducted an urgent search, and the girl was apprehended on December 4. A pre-trial detention measure was applied to her until the court decision.
During the trial, the defendant admitted her guilt and expressed remorse for her actions. However, taking into account the circumstances of the case, evidence, and the gravity of the crime, she was found guilty of intentional murder under the relevant article of the Criminal Code.
Based on the decision of the Kokand City Court for Criminal Cases, the 19-year-old girl was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment.
