Brazilian football star Neymar has revealed the secrets behind why he once rejected an offer from Real Madrid and chose Barcelona. When he was on the verge of a move to Europe in 2013, both Spanish giants were interested in him, but he followed his heart and chose Camp Nou.
"Real promised me everything"
According to Neymar, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez offered him unbelievable conditions:
Real Madrid's offer was very strong. They said they could give me whatever I wanted. If I had moved to Real Madrid, I would have earned three times more than I do now. Because Florentino Perez appreciated me."
However, Neymar rejected the offer from Madrid, as he saw his future at Barcelona.
"I wanted to play with Lionel Messi"
The Brazilian star also revealed the main reasons for choosing Barcelona:
"I have to admit: Ronaldinho's playing at the Camp Nou played a big role in my choice of Barcelona. But the main reason was my dream of playing with Lionel Messi. I really wanted to play with him."

Neymar played for Barcelona from 2013 to 2017, scoring 105 goals and providing 76 assists in 186 appearances.
