Kylian Mbappe, who joined Real Madrid this summer, is enjoying one of the best debut seasons in the club’s history. With 31 goals so far, he has already surpassed Ronaldo (30, 2002/03) and is closing in on Cristiano Ronaldo (33, 2009/10) and Ruud van Nistelrooy (33, 2006/07).
The all-time record for most goals in a debut season belongs to Iván Zamorano, who netted 37 goals in 1992/93. Mbappe still has time to surpass this milestone before the season ends.
The French forward has also established himself as a consistent goalscorer, scoring 30+ goals for seven consecutive seasons, making him the outright record holder among French footballers.
