On March 31 (April 1, Tashkent time), the Boxing World Cup kicked off in Brazil. The Uzbek team, led by Tulkin Kilichev, is participating in 10 weight categories.

On the first day of the competition, three representatives of Uzbekistan - Mirazizbek Mirzakhalilov (-55 kg), Ikboljon Kholdorov (-70 kg) and Javokhir Ummataliev (-80 kg) - entered the ring in the qualifying round and defeated representatives of Sweden, Poland and Italy, respectively, to reach the quarterfinals.

On the second day, Madiyar Daniyarov (-60 kg), Asilbek Jalilov (-50 kg) and Akmaljon Isroilov (-85 kg) also defeated representatives of Italy, Kazakhstan and Switzerland in their qualifying matches, respectively.

On April 2, Mirazizbek Mirzakhalilov held his second match of the tournament against Poland's Nicolas Pawlik, winning by a clear margin and advancing to the semifinals.

Iqboljon Kholdorov lost his second match of the tournament against England's Odel Camara by decision.

Asadkhodja Muydinkhodjaev, a representative of the -65 kg weight category and champion of the Paris 2024 Olympics, began his participation in the tournament in the quarterfinals, but lost to the host country's representative Yuri Reis in the first fight.

Javokhir Ummataliev also defeated his next opponent, American Robbie Gonzalez.

On April 3, the third representative of Uzbekistan also ended his participation in the tournament early - Madiyar Daniyarov (-60 kg) lost to Brazilian Luiz Oliveira in the semifinals and had to settle for bronze.

In turn, Turabek Habibullaev (-90 kg) defeated Vishal from India, Asilbek Jalilov (-50 kg) defeated Jadumani Mandengbam from India, Fazliddin Erkinboev (-75 kg) defeated Michal Yarlinski from Poland, and Jahongir Zokirov (+90 kg) defeated Daniyal Saparbay from Kazakhstan and advanced to the finals.
