Islombek Ismoilov:

— Our opponent has shown good play up to this stage. DPRK is a team with high physical preparation. When we analyzed this team’s matches in the tournament, we witnessed that they were constantly pressing for the full 90 minutes. Several tactical errors were also observed, but it’s clear that it won’t be an easy game against them. We will try to use our opportunities and win the match.

— Our performance during the tournament is not only the result of motivation, but also of the great work of the coaching staff and team doctors. The city of Taif is located at almost 1900 meters above sea level. It’s not easy to play football here. In order for the players to consistently play at an intense and high level, proper preparation is essential. Before and after each match, we hold both tactical and psychological talks with our players. The results we are achieving are the fruit of team effort.

About both teams scoring many goals in the tournament

— We’ll witness the match of two attacking teams. We have our own strategy and chosen path. Our goal is always to play attacking football. We try to build our defense in the opponent’s third zone. This means our team constantly plays with high pressing. We have worked for years for this style. We will not change our playing style for any opponent. Of course, depending on the course of the game, we might make small adjustments to the players’ actions on the field. But our main idea remains unchanged. At the same time, we will try to stop the opponent’s strong attacking line and make it difficult for them to play in their preferred style.
