Roten: Mbappé’s performance is a disaster

Former PSG and France midfielder Jérôme Rothen harshly criticized Kylian Mbappé’s first season with Real Madrid, reports LiveSport.ru, citing RMC Sport.

“We’re talking about Kylian Mbappé. He joined the club of his dreams to win every trophy, including the Champions League and the Ballon d’Or.

But both individually and collectively, it’s a failure. He won’t win the Ballon d’Or this year. It’s a bitter disappointment.

At the start of the season, we gave him time, we gave him excuses. But when you are Mbappé, your time to adapt is limited. Yes, he scored a lot of goals, but his overall play has been a disaster.

I think his commitment is awful. It doesn’t match his public statements. No one can call this season a success. I wish him the best, but the season has been terrible,” said Roten.
