At this prestigious competition, held under the auspices of the international organization "World Boxing", the Uzbek national team achieved brilliant results and once again demonstrated its strength on a continental scale.
According to the overall team results, the Uzbek youth national team finished the competition with 44 medals. Our young leather glove masters managed to win 16 gold, 15 silver and 13 bronze medals. With such a result, the Uzbek national team took second place in the overall team standings, slightly lagging behind only neighboring and traditional rival Kazakhstan.
Interestingly, Kazakhstan, like Uzbekistan, won 44 medals. They also finished with 16 gold, 15 silver and 13 bronze, but they came out on top by a small margin in terms of total points.
The Indian team also showed strong results, taking third place with a total of 43 medals (15 gold, 6 silver and 22 bronze). The top five of the competition were completed by the national teams of Ukraine (5 gold, 7 silver, 24 bronze) and Iran (1 gold, 5 silver, 5 bronze).
It should be noted that no team could match the quality of our young boxers who participated in the competition and the high level of fighting they showed. Our 51 boxers who participated in the tournament scored a total of 140 points, becoming the first in this regard. The Kazakh team, which showed the closest result to us, participated with 56 boxers and came in second with 138 points.
In total, young boxers from 18 countries tried their luck at this Asian Championship. The young generation of the Uzbek team once again confirmed that the future of boxing in our country is bright. This result will undoubtedly be an additional incentive to further popularize this sport in our country and for our youth to successfully participate in international arenas.
