
At the ongoing Asian Weightlifting Championships in Jiangshan, China, the members of the Uzbek national team once again demonstrated their high potential and presented our country with another medal. This time, two of our talented compatriots - Rigina Adashbayeva and Madina Fayzullaeva - were among the winners.
In particular, Rigina Adashbayeva, who participated in the -81 kg weight category, recorded a result of 104 kilograms in the snatch and won a bronze medal with this result. She also won another bronze medal in the combined event with a total of 224 kilograms, becoming a two-time winner.
Another talented athlete from our national team, Madina Fayzullaeva, also showed her strength and successfully lifted a weight of 121 kilograms in the snatch. As a result, Madina entered the top three in her weight category and won a bronze medal.
According to the Uzbekistan Weightlifting Federation, the successful participation of our young athletes in such prestigious competitions indicates the high level of attention and conditions for this sport in the country. Such results, in turn, give hope for achieving high positions in future prestigious international competitions, in particular, the World Championships and the Olympic Games.
It is noted that even more medals are expected from the members of the Uzbek national team at the ongoing championship in China.
