Uzbek boxers shocked the world in Warsaw

Uzbek boxers shocked the world in Warsaw
From May 10 to 17, the Polish capital Warsaw hosted the second stage of the “World Boxing Cup: Feliks Stamm” competition. The world's leading boxing schools participated in this prestigious tournament organized by the World Boxing Federation, and the Uzbek national team surpassed all its rivals and took first place in the overall team standings.

9 medals from Kilichev's students

Our boxers, led by Tolkin Kilichev, won a total of 9 medals at the competition. They achieved the highest result with 6 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. This result left all other countries behind not only in terms of the number of medals, but also in terms of their quality - that is, the superiority of gold medals.

The hosts are the second strongest, Italy is the third

The Polish national team took second place in the overall team standings at home with 5 gold, 3 silver and 10 bronze medals. Italian boxers completed the top three with 3 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medal.

Turkey, Norway and Germany recorded the expected results

Countries such as Turkey (2-2-5), Norway (1-2-1), Germany (1-1-2) also participated well with their results. Although a number of other countries won 1 gold medal each, they remained in the lower ranks in the overall results.

From the Zamin.uz editorial office:
The Uzbek boxing school once again demonstrated its potential and stable level of training. The victory in Warsaw is not a success today, but the result of systematic work, the hard work of our coaches and the courage of our athletes. Such victories on the way to the Olympics will undoubtedly be a great motivation for our country's boxers.
