Modric bids farewell to Real Madrid fans at Bernabéu

On May 24, 2025, Luka Modric played his final match for Real Madrid. After a 2–0 win over Real Sociedad at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the Croatian midfielder gave an emotional farewell speech to the fans.

Modric said:

“I’ll finish with a phrase I really love: don’t cry because it’s over — smile because it happened. Long live Real, and nothing else matters. Thank you.”

Modric spent 13 seasons with Real Madrid, winning numerous trophies and becoming one of the club’s all-time legends, as reported by euro-football.ru.
