Roma’s newly appointed head coach Gian Piero Gasperini is actively working to radically refresh the squad and adapt the team to his tactical vision. Amidst such changes, the future of Uzbek striker Eldor Shomurodov at the Roman club has become uncertain. According to famous Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, “Istanbul Başakşehir” has submitted an official offer to Roma to acquire Shomurodov, and both sides are now very close to finalizing the deal. According to available information, in recent weeks clubs from the US MLS have also shown serious interest in Shomurodov, but at present, it is “Başakşehir,” an ambitious Turkish Super League club fighting for top goals, that is conducting the most active negotiations.
