Uzbekistan’s junior judokas achieved absolute dominance at the Asian Cup
The Asian Cup in judo among juniors, held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, ended at a high level — this was reported by the press service of the Uzbekistan Judo Federation.

Nearly 500 young judokas from 9 countries and 3 continents took part in the two-day competition. They competed in 16 weight categories — 8 for girls and 8 for boys.

Uzbekistan’s junior national team achieved absolute dominance at this major tournament. Our young wrestlers won 8 gold, 10 silver, and 11 bronze medals, taking the honorable first place in the overall team ranking. This result reflects the hard work of the team’s captains and coaches, as well as the aspiration and high level of preparation of the young athletes.

As the host, Kazakhstan finished second with 5 gold, 4 silver, and 12 bronze medals. The top three were completed by young judokas from Mongolia, who took 2 gold medals.

Achieving such high results in international competitions is a great motivation for Uzbekistan’s young judokas and creates a foundation for future successes. We congratulate our national team members and coaches on this brilliant achievement.

It is expected that in the future, our young athletes will continue to defend the honor of our country on the international stage. The Zamin.uz website will promptly cover tournament results and important events in the sporting life of the country.
