Abbosbek Fayzullaev, who has won the hearts of fans with his brilliant performances for CSKA, may take the next step on his journey to Europe. The Turkish club "Istanbul Başakşehir", which has pursued an active transfer policy in recent years, is showing serious interest in our attacking midfielder.
Previously, "Başakşehir" added Eldor Shomurodov to its squad, and now they plan to make Abbosbek a central figure of the team. This information has sparked intense discussions among the public.
Abbosbek's first coach, Dmitriy An, also shared his opinion on the matter:
— I would like to meet Abbosbek personally and talk about his plans. Of course, the club and its fans want him to stay at CSKA. But this is football, and any decision must be respected. Most importantly, wherever he goes, he will leave the team with honor, – said the coach.
Currently, Abbosbek's contract with CSKA runs until the summer of 2026. According to the Transfermarkt portal, his transfer value is estimated at 8 million euros. However, the parties can extend the cooperation by another year by mutual agreement.
Fayzullaev moved to CSKA from "Pakhtakor" in August 2023, and since then has secured a solid place in the main squad through his active play. To date, he has appeared in 72 official matches for the Russian “Army men”, scored 8 goals, and delivered 22 assists, delighting the fans.
The year 2025 has started on a high note for Abbosbek. He played an important role in helping the Uzbekistan national team qualify for the World Cup for the first time in history.
He also achieved great success at the club level: a bronze medal in the Russian Premier League, the Russian Cup, and the Super Cup. Thus, he entered history as the first Uzbek footballer to win both of Russia's main trophies in a single year.
Abbosbek’s European path is just beginning, but this path holds great significance not only as his personal achievement but also in raising the international prestige of Uzbek football.
The final decision will be known in the coming days. One thing is clear: this transfer could become one of the most important turning points in Abbosbek’s career. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
