During football seasons, breaks turn into new opportunities and tactical tests for every team. In particular, teams try to use every break efficiently to further consolidate their season’s success. The “miners” of Almalyk also organized a friendly match against the “Andijon” team on July 26 with this very goal in mind.
The contest took place in a special format — four periods of 35 minutes each. In the first part of the match, the guests showed more activity and, thanks to Damir Temirov’s goal, “Andijon” opened the score. However, this advantage did not last long and the hosts started to assert themselves.
OKMK’s experienced and young players showcased their abilities in this game. Akbar Oʻktamov equalized the score in the 45th minute, and then Ali Abdurakhmonov sent his team ahead with goals in the 49th and 51st minutes. With even higher tempo and attacking style, Ajac Riak sent the ball into the net in the 98th minute, and towards the end of the game, Ruben Sanchez became the author of OKMK’s fifth goal in the 139th minute.
The friendly match ended with a big win and plenty of goals — the 5:1 result is certain to give the “miners” even more confidence and motivation for the new season.
OKMK — Andijon 5:1
Goals: Akbar Oʻktamov (45), Ali Abdurakhmonov (49), (51), Ajac Riak (98), Ruben Sanchez (139) — Damir Temirov (27).
The teamwork, tactical changes, and the movements of young players on the field in this trial game sparked special interest among fans. If the team maintains this attacking style and superiority in official matches as well, high results can be expected from the Almalyk side.
Final thought: this major win by OKMK has given fans great hope and anticipation for the new season. Supporters of the team continue to eagerly await the upcoming official matches, where more intense and spectacular games are certainly expected.
