A new historical chapter has opened in Uzbek football. The decision adopted by the President, “On measures to digitalize and further increase the popularity of football in Uzbekistan,” is significant because it is aimed at fundamentally modernizing national football through modern technologies.
According to the decision, several innovative directions will be established at the National Football Center.
Activities of the new centers
First of all, a Digital Football Situational Center will be created, enabling the early identification of talented footballers. This center will serve as an important platform for discovering young talents and guiding them properly.
In addition, a “VAR Center” will be launched to centrally monitor football matches using the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system. This will ensure accurate decisions in controversial situations.
For the security and systematic storage of data, a “DATA Football Center” will also be launched. Through this, all digital data related to football will be collected in a single database, making analysis and management processes more effective.
“Legionnaires Club” — a new project
Within the framework of the decision, a “Legionnaires Club” will also be established under the Uzbekistan Football Association. Its main task is to attract highly skilled Uzbek professional footballers and other specialists, who currently play or have previously played abroad, to contribute to the development of national football.
Experts emphasize that this initiative will not only help integrate the experience of legionnaires into local football but also serve as a strong source of motivation for the younger generation.
