The European transfer market has once again entered a heated phase, and one of the main topics is the future of Dani Ceballos. Earlier it was reported that French giant Marseille is negotiating with Real Madrid to sign the Spanish midfielder. The deal is expected to be a loan with a mandatory purchase option.
According to ESPN, Real Madrid is already considering the possibility of Ceballos leaving, and therefore intends to bring in a new midfielder in the final days of the transfer window. These processes are closely linked: the “royal club” first wants to secure a replacement before letting Ceballos go.
Journalist Rodrigo Faez has revealed that Real has set a clear asking price. If Marseille or another club wants to sign him permanently or after the loan, they will have to pay at least €15–20 million.
Among fans, debates are heating up: how much would Ceballos’ departure affect Real’s game? On the one hand, he is not always a starter, but on the other, as an experienced midfielder he can be a valuable asset in rotation.
Thus, Ceballos’ future remains one of the key intrigues ahead of the transfer window closure. Will Marseille make their move and who will Real bring in as a replacement — the answers may be known in the coming days.
