The draw for the general stage of the European Champions League was held in Monaco.
36 clubs will participate in the tournament. They are divided into 4 baskets. In the general stage, each team plays 8 games: 4 at home, 4 away.
All results of 36 clubs are placed in the general table. The top 8 clubs will go directly to the 1/8 finals. Teams from 9th to 24th place will play doubles. Teams from 25th to 36th place will leave the competition.
The Champions League group stage matches will be held from September 16 to January 28. The exact dates of the games will be announced on August 30.
Manchester City, led by Abdukadir Khusanov, will face the following opponents: Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Villarreal, Napoli, Budweiser, Galatasaray and Monaco.
Kazakhstan's Kairat, who are participating in the competition for the first time, will play Real Madrid, Club Brugge, Olympiacos and Paphos at home. They will also face Arsenal, Inter, Sporting and Copenhagen away.
