The coach of the Uzbekistan U17 national team, Islam Ismailov, spoke in detail about the preparations for the upcoming World Cup. According to him, this training camp began on August 20: the first stage took place in Fergana, where a friendly match was held against the "Cementchi" team. Then the second part of the training camp will continue in Tashkent - the team will be in the capital until August 30. After that, it is planned to go to Spain for the third part of the training camp: there he will participate in a mini-tournament.
Ismailov also spoke about the level of opponents in Spain:
"The level of opponents in Spain is quite serious. Of course, playing against England, Canada, and Morocco before the World Cup will give the team strength. Through the game against such opponents, we will see the mistakes and try to correct them in the period leading up to the World Cup," he said.
The coach also highlighted the amenities provided by the newly commissioned football center:
"These buildings will serve for better training and living conditions for national teams. Previously, it was a bit more difficult - it took a lot of time to come and go for training. We're leaving now, the field is ready. All conditions have been created for restoration. These things work in favor of the national team."
The recent visit of world-renowned stars to the young players' training camp has added to the program's spirit:
"Meeting such high-level stars gives young players great enthusiasm. They expressed their wishes - these words inspire our football players. "They saw their stars up close and will serve as an example for them to strive forward in the future," said Islam Ismailov.
In short, the U17 team's preparations are going according to plan: through a start in Fergana, a reliable continuation in Tashkent, and a small tournament in Spain, the team aims to refine their game before the World Cup, reduce errors, and prepare for competition.
