Europa League draw: historic ceremony in digital format

The Europa League draw was held for the first time using fully automated digital technology. A total of 36 teams will participate in the general stage.

The main stage of the tournament will begin in September 2025 and will last until May 2026. The final match is scheduled to take place on May 20, 2026, at the Beşiktaş Stadium in Istanbul.

The Europa League winner not only wins the cup but also automatically qualifies for the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League general stage. The champion will also have the right to compete for the European Super Cup with the subsequent Champions League winner.

According to the schedule, the first round matches of the Europa League main stage will take place on September 24-25. The final - the 8th round - is scheduled for January 29, 2026.

Experts emphasize that the digital draw system is expected to ensure transparency and impartiality, further enhancing the tournament's prestige.
