Mixed team competitions have begun at the World Junior Judo Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria. In the very first matches of the competition, the Uzbekistan national team demonstrated its strength.
In the 1/8 finals, our compatriots played against the French national team and secured a convincing victory with a score of 4:1. In the competitions, Mukhammadkarim Nosirov (-60 kg), Inomjon Bakhodirov (-81 kg), Umida Nigmatova (+63 kg), and Alibek Durdiyev (+81 kg) defeated their opponents and secured the overall victory for our team.
Now our opponent in the quarter-finals will be the Kazakhstan national team. In the first round, our neighbors defeated the host country, Bulgaria, with a score of 4:1, and secured a place in the next round.
According to the press service of the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan, our national team is participating in the competition with strong goals and is competing for victory in every match.
