Uzbek judokas took second place in the mixed team program

The World Junior Judo Championship, held in Sofia (Bulgaria), has concluded. In today's program, mixed team competitions were held, and the strongest teams were determined.
In the qualifying round, the young judokas of Uzbekistan defeated the teams of France, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia and reached the final. In the decisive match, they faced Japan, considered the homeland of judo.
In a strong and uncompromising match, the Japanese judokas won with a score of 4:2. As a result, our national team worthily finished the prestigious competition with a silver medal. This result also testifies to the increased enthusiasm and strong preparation of young Uzbek athletes.
It should be recalled that our team also achieved great success in individual competitions. Our young judokas took first place in the overall standings with 5 gold and 2 bronze medals.
Thus, the youth of Uzbekistan, having achieved historic results at the World Championship in Bulgaria, once again spoke in the judo discipline.
