A press conference was held with the participation of the team's head coaches ahead of the 2026 U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers in Group "E."
Ravshan Haydarov, the coach of the Uzbekistan U-23 national team, also participated and shared his views.
- First of all, I sincerely congratulate the participants of the qualifying stage. I am confident that this tournament will be organized at a high level. "I hope all the matches will be interesting and spectacular for the fans, and the victory will go to a worthy team," said the coach.
Khaydarov also expressed special gratitude to the Football Union of Kyrgyzstan:
- We see a high level of organization here. Our team also underwent thorough training according to the established plan. "Now our football players have entered the competition in good physical and moral condition," he added.
The coach also addressed the issue of the squad:
- For players in youth teams, this stage is an important stage in advancing to the national team. Some of our players have already started playing for the main national team. We will try not to call them up to the U-23 team again. Because our main task is to provide the national team with strong and talented players. For example, Abduqodir Husanov and Abbos Fayzullayev, who previously played for the youth team, now have their place in the national team. "Our main goal is to create opportunities for young people and prepare them for big football," Khaydarov said.
As a reminder, the Uzbekistan U-23 national team will play in the qualifying matches in Bishkek. Our guys will play against Sri Lanka on September 3, Kyrgyzstan on September 6, and Palestine on September 9. The coach had previously announced the squad.
